Ian is one year old!

Today is Ian's First Birthday!  It is amazing how fast time goes when you are looking back on it!  I need to remind myself of that everyday!

He is totally a mamma's boy. He will push Collin away and then lay his head on my shoulder right after. Awww! He loves to push cars along the hard wood floor. He loves throwing balls. He loves being tickled. He loves peek-a-boo. He loves nursing. He loves to be rocked. He loves playing with my hair. If he cannot reach mine, he will play with his little bit he can grab. Or even pull on his eyelashes. He doesn't like the car seat. He doesn't like to take naps. He doesn't like very much food.  His favorite would have to be avocados and Greek yogurt.  He likes to climb stairs. He has figured out how to go down, but still cannot turn around. He likes opening all the cupboards. If a bathroom door is open he races for it. He loves phones, especially Collin's ear piece. He can cruise along the furniture and let go, standing for a minute. He loves looking out the window. He doesn't like strangers, especially babysitters. He likes the girls to play with him.  He is very patient with all of them.

 

It is another experience having a baby with older kids that can help.  Not that it has been much easier, because he is a high maintenance baby.  But, because all the baby stuff is so exciting to the older kids.  They love to old his hands and help him walk.  They love to feed him.  They want to hold him all the time.  Now that he can move, he pushes them away more often.  They like to help him in the bath tub.  They play peek-a-boo, cars, ball, and dance with him.  I am grateful for all the extra help.  And I love to see the joy he can bring to his sisters. I love when they get excited about the things he does.  It is a ton of fun.  We all love him so much!  I am very grateful for all the events that took place a year ago today. It still makes me happy to read about Ian's Birth Day!
