Sharing on Disneyland

(This is a sharing, show-and-tell, Breah wrote for school.  It has the main points of our vacation, but a few details are missing.  I thought it was perfect for our family to remeber our vacation with!  She also brought her souvenirs, hat, and pictures to show her class.)

Disneyland

We are going to tell you about our trip to Disneyland. To begin with, we left our house to go to Disneyland on November twenty-ninth. The drive took about two days. The first day we drove about nine hours. On the way, we passed big, red plateaus. The word plateau means a flat mountain that kind of has the color of a lava rock. After that, we passed St. George. The palm trees were so beautiful! Then, we finally got to Las Vegas where we stayed for the night. When we saw Las Vegas for the first time, it had so, SO many lights! At Las Vegas we stayed at a hotel called Hampton Inn. We also went to a restaurant called Del Taco. Then we went back to the hotel and went to bed.

Then we woke up and went downstairs to eat breakfast. When we were eating our breakfast, we were writing math problems with our fingers on the table. Furthermore, we got our bags and put them in the car. Then, we drove for another six hours until we got to California. We went to Huntington Beach. We were having fun jumping over small waves and writing our names in the sand. When we were done we went to a pizza restaurant. After we were done eating, we drove to Target and went shopping. At the store we got hats so that the Disney characters could sign them. The hotel we stayed at was called Homewood Suites. We unpacked our bags, ate dinner and went swimming. The pool there was outside. It was a lot hotter, so we had fun and we did not get cold. Clearly, when we were done swimming we went to see fireworks. When we were done we went to bed.

When we woke up we ate breakfast. That day, we went to church, then to the Los Angeles LDS Temple Visitor Center, and last to the Santa Monica Beach. This time at the beach we saw a pink limousine with it's doors wide open and a movie on. On the whole trip we saw 3 limousines. After a few hours it was time for bed.

When we woke up we went downstairs to eat some breakfast. Then we barely caught the shuttle to go to Disneyland! A shuttle is like a bus. When we got to Disneyland, we went to Fantasy Land and Mickey's Toon Town. At Fantasy Land the princesses signed our hats and took pictures with us. One of the rides in Fantasy Land was called Matterhorn. On Matterhorn you get in a roller coaster and go down steep hills. In Mickey's Toon Town you get to go in Mickey and Minnie's house. One ride in Mickey's Toon Town is a roller coaster. It is red and goes really fast. When we were done going on the rides, we went to a show. The show had Mickey Mouse in it and a few princesses. When our little brother got tired we went to the hotel ate dinner, went swimming and went to bed.

The next day we went to Disneyland again. This time we went on the rides Space Mountain, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, a car ride and a few other rides. Space Mountain is a ride where you get on a roller coaster and it looks like you are in space. Star Tours is like Star Wars. You get in a little room and sit in a seat. Then this big screen turns on and it is like you are flying in a space ship. On Splash Mountain you get on a log boat. It tells a story about a rabbit. At the end of Splash Mountain there is a huge waterfall. Our brother was tired so we had to go back to the hotel. Again, we went swimming, ate dinner and went to bed.

The next day it was our first time at the California Adventure Park. At California Adventure Park, we went to Bug's Land and watched a 3D bug movie from A Bug's Life and a few other rides. After we were done at A Bug's Land, we went to Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror, Grizzly Peak and Soarin' over California. The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror is the scariest ride. You get in a broken elevator that is in a tall Hollywood hotel. The elevator goes up all the way to the top of the hotel and you get to see all of the California Adventure Park. Grizzly Peak is a ride when you get in a tube and go on a ride down a river. Soarin' over California is so fun! You get in a row of chairs and then the chairs lift in the air. It is like you are flying in a airplane. At the end of the day we watched World Of Color. It is a show with a water screen and colorful water shooting through the air.

The last day at the California Adventure Park, we went to Paradise Pier and Cars Land. In Cars Land, there was the town Radiator Springs with Flo's V8, Mator's Towing, Lui's Tire Changing, Cozy Cone Motel and Fillmore's Taste-In. The best ride was Radiator Springs Racers. On the ride, you get in a car, go in the big mountains, see the water fall, and race another car. In all of Cars Land, Mator and Lightning McQueen drive around and take pictures. At Paradise Pier, we went on California Screamin', Mickey's Fun Wheel, Toy Story Midway Mania, Silly Symphony Swings and Goofy's Sky School. California Screamin' is a big, fast roller coaster that goes up side down, through tunnels and one huge loop. Mickey's Fun Wheel is a big Ferris Wheel that has Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Daisey, Goofy and Pluto on it. Toy Story Midway Mania is when you get in a little car and go through a 4D ride. On Silly Symphony Swings, you spin in the air on a swing. Goofy's Sky School is a roller coaster that goes up and down. At the end of the day, we watched the Aladdin Musical Spectacular. It was in a giant auditorium with the funniest actors ever, especially the Genie! We watched it from about 6:00 – 7:00 pm. After we were done watching the show, we went to the Animation Academy, Sorcerer's workshop, and Turtle Talk with Crush. At the Sorcerer's Workshop we made books about our self. At Animation Academy, we learned how to draw Minnie Mouse. Crush is a turtle and lives in a huge cage. You can talk with him while you sit on green rugs. When we were done we went back to the hotel and went to bed.

The next morning we went downstairs and ate breakfast. When we were done, we got in the car and started to go home. Again, we drove home in 2 days. We stopped and stayed the night in Cedar City. The next day, after a long drive of bad roads, we got to Idaho Falls. We were so happy to be home. We were glad to sleep in our own beds for the first time in eight days! We hope that you can see how amazing our trip to Disneyland was!
